Last Day of 2nd grade!!!

Well, it's official! My handsome Zach has finished 2nd grade and now thinks he wants to go to 3rd. Wasn't he just crawling around in diapers not that long ago? It's so not fair how fast he is growing up! He had a great year! He has grown up so much this past year and is turning out to be quite the guy! The other boy in this picture is his best bud, Connor. He is our neighbor and I also watched him every day after school this year. It was great having a play buddy for Zach.

We celebrated the end of school this afternoon (they had a half day) by taking a picnic lunch to the park and then playing for 2 hours! It was an absolutely gorgeous day today - about 70 degrees, breezy and not a cloud in the sky! Oh, and NO humidity! Just beautiful! The park was packed with kids and parents enjoying the afternoon. The boys played tag for a bit and then decided the huge sandbox looked pretty fun. Chloe thought the "sleed" (slide) was tons of fun, as well as the swings. I am grateful Zach is out of school now and that we will have more time to spend together.
