When Dad gets you dressed....

I would always find it quite amusing when Chris would get Karleigh dressed. I remember one time when I was taking a CNA class and had to go to an all day clinical. I had to be there early in the morning and so Chris had to be mister mom that morning. He had to get Zach and Karleigh up, dressed, fed, hair combed and out the door before he went to class. (He was in graduate school and working full time - busy guy!) I would then pick up the kids from the sitter when I got done with my clinical.

I remember going up to the room where Karleigh was napping and taking one look at her and just laughing! I had no idea how in the world Chris figured that her pants and shirt matched. They were incredibally mismatched! It was so funny to me because he never had that problem with Zach! To give him some credit, he did attempt with her hair. But....it was still quite the funny sight! (he can now master a ponytail on Chloe!)

So after church this week, he helped Chloe change. I was watching as he picked out her outfit. I just started to laugh as he pulled them out and started putting them on her. Even Chloe was thinking it looked wierd. He explained that since they both have pink in them, they matched! Chloe and I had a fun laugh together. Even Chris was laughing, knowing that picking out girl clothes is not his forte.

Seriously -- Ryan picks out the crummiest, last-option shirts and pants for Sam to wear almost every time he gets him dressed. I've finally kind of explained how Sam is allowed to actually look nice on days that Ryan gets him dressed, and Ryan does much better now. What can you say, at least they're not letting the kidlets go nakie.

Matt does the same thing when he dresses Ally. I've tried explaining to him that just because the shirt and shorts are pink, doesn't mean they match. Just put blue jean shorts on her if you're not sure.
